As the Controls Engineer you will perform functions related to controls engineering supporting manufacturing, maintenance and engineering departments with controls necessary to achieve desired results. This role has a wide variety of duties, requiring ability to gain full understanding of production processes and exercise judgment to modify controls to effect desired changes. Plan and prioritize work under general direction with production requirements as primary driver.Your RoleProvide instruction in operation, set-up, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant electrical and control systems.Identify, plan and implement electrical and control systems process improvement opportunities.Optimize new systems and upgrades to existing processes and facilities.Create Programmable Logical Control (PLC) programs (ControlLogix and PLC5)Set-up, editing, networking, and troubleshooting of controls networks (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet, etc.)Design, maintain, and optimize plant electrical power distribution system (includes, 4160V, 575V, and 480V)Manage control system servers, logic controllers, software and backups.Maintain a progress schedule that meets project milestonesImplement and validate the system designTroubleshoot hardware, software, and instrument problemsMachine safety systems/devices (E Stops, Light Curtains, guard interlocks, etc.)
