Ed Paramedic

The starting rate for this position is $23.75 an hour. The rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, the determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position. Summary The Emergency Department Paramedic is responsible for performing quality patient care in an expanded in-hospital scope of practice in accordance with Maine EMS Treatment Protocols, Maine EMS PIFT protocols, physician orders, procedures, and established standards and administrative protocols. This position works under the guidance of the ED Medical Director and Nurse Director, ED. Job Requirements

Successful completion of Paramedic level training required.

Current Maine State licensed Paramedic required.

ACLS, PALS, and BLS Certification required .

Maine PIFT Certification preferred.

Advanced Paramedic Certifications preferred (CCEMT-P, FP-C)

Five years of Paramedic experience required.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, often stressful situation.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong understanding of medical terminology.

Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation.

The ability to speak, read, write, and understand written instructions in English is required.
