As you are transitioning into Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, our Clinical Support Team will provide an orientation program that will be critical to your success as a new MA joining our team.

Our goal is to provide you a path to a successful integration into a clinic setting or remaining part of our support team as a float. Your Choice!

Our Orientation offers a comprehensive, individualized orientation program that focuses on your needs and provides you with the knowledge and confidence to apply and work in either a primary care clinic or a specialty clinic.

Once orientation is completed, you decide if you want to be a part of our clinical support team (a float pay differential would be added) or if you want to search for a “home” clinic.

What You Will Do :

You will float to primary care and specialty clinics throughout the Treasure Valley, from Boise to Ontario, OR, that are needing staffing assistance.

These positions offer a great deal of variety and is a great way to learn about all of the different service areas and specialties of the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group.

You will work in a team environment to promote a positive experience in patient care with compassion and kindness.

You will perform duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice based on clinics' needs.

You will support and work under the supervision of the Physician and/or Advanced Practice Provider. Clinical oversight is provided by the RN Supervisor, Lead Nurse and/or SAMG Nursing Administration.

You will support efficient clinic flow along side a variety of Providers, Clinical Support and Front office staff and communicate accurately and positively with team members.

Work Schedule Information :

These are full-time positions, working 40 hours per week.

Work schedules will vary based on staffing needs in the clinics.

Most shifts are Monday – Friday with an occasional weekend and holiday coverage needed.

These positions qualify for pay differentials.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

American Medical Technologists (RMA)

National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externshipis required even with MA certification.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT certification does not count towards an MA certification.
