Mobile X-Ray Tech

A growing healthcare team in Boise, Idaho is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Mobile X-Ray Technician to join their small, tight-knit staff. This role requires traveling to patient locations such as clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, and private residences to perform diagnostic imaging using portable X-ray equipment. The ideal candidate is independent, adaptable, and committed to providing high-quality imaging directly to patients while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and excellent bedside manner.

Mobile X-Ray Tech Responsibilities:

Travel to various patient sites within a defined region to perform diagnostic imaging procedures

Set up and operate portable X-ray equipment safely and efficiently

Verify patient identity and review physician orders to ensure correct exams are performed

Position patients properly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images

Follow radiation safety protocols and use protective equipment appropriately

Upload and transmit digital images to physician systems in real time

Maintain accurate patient records, exam logs, and compliance documentation

Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or maintenance needs

Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare providers to explain procedures and ensure comfort

Adhere to HIPAA, ARRT, and facility standards for patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance

Mobile X-Ray Tech Requirements:

ARRT Certification required

Active and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to work independently without direct supervision

Strong bedside manner and patient-focused approach

Adaptable to diverse environments outside of a hospital or clinic

No prior experience required if recently certified and trained

Willingness to travel to multiple sites daily within the local region

Must be able to complete a background check and meet regulatory standards
