Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant in the Machinery Manufacturing industry, located in BELLEVILLE, Illinois, United States. As an Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including the processing and maintenance of financial records, resolving financial inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts.Responsibilities: Processing and maintaining accurate financial records Utilizing Accounting Software Systems effectively Efficiently managing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Conducting regular audits to ensure financial accuracy Maintaining and analyzing Balance Sheet Accounts Assisting with month-end closing procedures Preparing and presenting financial statements Assisting with account reconciliations Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is essential. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed. Prior involvement in Auditing activities is mandatory. Ability to manage and maintain Balance Sheet Accounts is necessary. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines is needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Machinery Manufacturing industry is preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is a plus.
