Description We are offering a contract to permanent opportunity for a meticulous and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team in Winnetka, Illinois. In this role, you will be tasked with handling various accounting functions, specifically focused on customer credit applications and records. You will be working onsite, utilizing software such as Dynamix to ensure efficiency in our accounting operations. Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy in all details. Maintain up-to-date and precise records of customer credit. Resolve customer inquiries related to their credit in a timely and detail oriented manner. Monitor customer credit accounts regularly, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise. Take necessary action to collect delinquent payments, while maintaining a positive customer relationship. Use accounting software such as Dynamix. Assist in other accounting functions as may be necessary, ensuring smooth operations within the department. Adhere to company policies and regulations when performing all tasks. Collaborate with other team members to improve credit processes and enhance customer satisfaction. Continuously update skills and knowledge in credit management to improve performance and efficiency. Requirements Proficiency in Dynamix software is required. A solid understanding and practical experience with accounting functions is essential. Demonstrated experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. Familiarity with other accounting software will be considered an asset. A commitment to continuous detail oriented development in the field of accounting.
