Agile CoachChicago, ILLong Term Contract Our direct client is looking for Agile Coach for its Asset Management Technology Business Unit.Contractors Role: Responsible for working across all levels of the organization to increase Agile acumen, develop and enhance teams and technical agility and standardize and implement processes and best practices to ensure successful adoption of Agile principles, techniques and mindset(across IT & Business) to achieve out-come based execution and the greatest business value. The Agile Coach works with a team to drive the adoption and optimization of Agile practices

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT preferred along with Application development background preferred
  • 8-10 years of professional experience using Agile methodologies and leading Agile transformation
  • Direct experience as an Agile Coach or Agile advisor leading Agile Transformation in financial services preferred. This is NOT a Sr. Scrum Master position
  • Advanced interpersonal skills that help to establish strong working relationships and promote bi-directional communication within and across teams and programs.
  • Advanced understanding of software development methodologies and at Scale (Agile, SAFe, SCRUM, Kanban, Lean, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Identify and optimize value streams at program/portfolio level - direct experience converting traditional waterfall project silos into lean-agile value streams is required and shifting mindset from project to product
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile Engineering practices including Enterprise Architecture, DevOps (CI-CD, test-first, Test Driven Development, Automation testing, etc.)
  • Solid working knowledge of supporting tools including Jira and AzureDevOps

Tasks & responsibilities:
  • Coach teams, Scrum Masters and Product Owners on Agile concepts, industry best practices (Release Planning, value and use of relative estimation, incorporating engineering practices and using velocity for planning, etc.) and expected benefits
  • Evaluate and mentor new and experienced Agile teams, and collaborate with the teams to regularly identify and implement improvements. Ensure Agile ceremonies are completed effectively and the value is understood
  • Work with your assigned area to refine the activities needed for the selected focused area from the Agile multiyear plan. Measure and Improve Agile maturity and execution. Advance the evolution towards a learning organization
  • Lead with influence and operate at all levels of the organization including senior leadership team of technology, operations and line of business. Guide and influence both cultural and process change
  • Coach the Product owners and business analysts on best practices around backlog management - creation and elaboration of Features and epics
  • Coach App/Sol Architects and Development Leads in Systems Thinking and adoption of modern delivery methods
  • Deliver key metrics to stakeholders to demonstrate continuous improvement and ensure
  • Review Team practices routinely with Scrum Masters to establish team coaching and transformation plans. Establish team health and maturity measurements. Share the progress with leadership and key stakeholders
  • Mentor Management on how their roles are different in an Agile environment and how they can enable Agile success. Coach the skills and value of creating transparency, and how this accelerates agility
  • Stay current with the Agile industry: Read and recommend valuable Lean and Agile books, blogs, articles, etc. to continuously increase the teams Agile maturity; coach the team on developing a culture of continuous learning and improvement
