Role: Agile Scrum Master Work Location: Chicago, Illinois (Remote) Duration : 20 Months Contract Position Summary The Scrum Master provides servant-leadership and mentorship to a cross-functional agile team. This position will guide and serve a team that delivers technology solutions through effective application of Agile principles and frameworks including, but not limited to, Scrum and Kanban methods. The Scrum Master will coach the team to create strong skills in self-organization, cross-functionality, collaboration, conflict resolution, transparency, and continuous improvement. - Collaborates with business partners, architects, product owners and engineers to understand their problems and goals - Responsible for Planning and executing Data Engineering projects through agile implementations - Liaison with the Business and Technical team to identify technical solutions and business process improvements in support of the Business and IT strategic direction - Manage multiple stakeholders geographically dispersed to drive roadmap objectives, ensuring scope and approach are understood by scrum teams - Proactively provide agile and process consultancy to stakeholders throughout the full development lifecycle - Facilitate all scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Reviews - Use reporting tools to monitor the progress of portfolio delivery and ensure timely and effective communication of the status and assessment of risks/issues - Expertise with Rally, using agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement - Work Closely with Technical leads while effectively managing relationships and requirements with business partners across geographies - Removes impediments, helps manage risk - Assist teams in achieving commitments by building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised, with an emphasis on problem-solving Required Qualifications - 2+ years of experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies - 1+ years of experience working with Rally, or equivalent, managing boards and developing reports COVID Requirements COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement CVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated. Preferred Qualifications - Scrum Master certification - 2+ years of experience in Data and Analytics projects - Demonstrated ability to identify and proactively address issues impacting project team performance - Proven ability to effectively prioritize and allocate time across project assignments - Healthcare and Consumer Analytics experience preferred Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in delivery management.
