Role: API Developer Location: Chicago, IL Duration: Long Term Job Description: Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis, design, development, unit testing, and implementation of software using C#.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, and SQL Server
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices
- Create technical design documents and data flow charts as per business requirements
- Implement TDD (Test driven development) to deliver quality applications using the testing frameworks
- Works collaboratively with other developers, DevOps, DBAs, business, project and product management
- Participate in all the releases and monitor the applications and services
- Identify the bottlenecks, and issues and provide the best solution to fix the issue in an existing applications or services
- As a Senior API Developer, Implement and enforce engineering best practices using modern standards and patterns.
- Implement engineering excellence by enforcing regular code reviews, continuous integration, high test code coverage, ongoing code refactoring, and adequate documentation.
- Review unit test plans, tests, and code coverage to ensure high-quality delivery
- 8-10 years of experience as an API Developer
- Strong experience in building Microservices or Web API using ASP.Net Core, MVC, C#
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and familiarity with software design patterns
- Strong experience in Entity framework
- Strong experience with SQL Server
- Experience in writing unit test cases
- Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure API Management
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and resolving issues caused by data, Web Services, and UI
- Strong innovation skills and ability to solve application/technical problems
- Strong communication skills to be effective in both technical and business requirement discussions
- Healthcare domain knowledge is preferred
- At least 1-year experience in Agile methodology, JIRA, and confluence
- Angular experience will be a plus
