The benefit of autonomous technology enables boaters to confidently operate vessels and focus on pleasurable aspects of boating.The successful Simulation Project Engineer :

Develops and implements marine-focusedsimulation capabilities.

Work cross-functionally to evaluate sensing solutions, perception algorithms, and system robustness.

Drives technical solutions from innovation to product development pipeline and to production.

Translates customer requirements into quantitative metrics that can be evaluated with simulation tools.

Provides insights to technical delivery teams regardingalgorithm performance and robustness according to test results.

Works across a number of disciplines as needed, including autonomous applications, electrification, fluid dynamics, and controls.

 Key responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include executing and developing simulations for autonomous vessels.

Develop validation plan collaboratively with project team.

Evaluatenew tools for tackling advanced simulation capabilities in autonomy and other advanced engineering disciplines.

Lead interns in creation of autonomous systems simulation capabilities and product solutions.

R equired Experience/Skills

BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Aerospace,Electrical, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering discipline.

0-2 years relevant work experience.

Knowledgeof simulation tools forrobotics or autonomous systems.

Experience working with Python and C.

Familiar with Linux and ROS2.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

M.S. or Ph.D. in STEM-related fields.

Experience with recreational marine market.

Experience with Ansys AVxcelerate, Unreal Engine 5, or Cognata.

Experience modeling sensing solutions including Lidar, Radar, Sonar, IR, IMU, stereovisionand other camera Systems

Experience using Mathworks/Simulink.

Familiarity with simulating electrification, controls, and fluid dynamics
