Bartender for Neighborhood Tavern

Lakeview tavern is immediately hiring for 1-2 part-time bartenders. Fill-in for bartenders on vacation this fall and winter plus second on bartender shifts for large number of private events booked this fall and winter. Schedules are set well in advance for all staff. This is a low key neighborhood tavern and we are looking for a good bartender or two to keep it that way.

Job duties:

Check customer identification

Serve beer, shots, basic cocktails, and wine

Maintain a clean bar during your shift and at closing.

Build rapport with customers and regulars

Work very well with others including door staff.

Job requirements:

Must be 21 or over

Hold valid State of Illinois BASSET / Alcohol Service training certification by 1st shift

Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

Reliable availability and transportation

Some bar experience required. We will consider training barbacks or hosts with a minimum of one year experience looking to move into bartending. References helpful and email applications that include a resume will be given preference.
