Job Description

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

· Responsible for monitoring key measures of BYS operational clinical quality and internal priority measures and focus areas.

· Acts as a scorekeeper on quality data analysis, tracks changes in status, and prepares/presents progress reports as needed.

· Investigates and evaluates changes in status of quality measures; completes investigation to determine cause of discrepancies, changes in performance, and to identify missed opportunities.

· Monitors BYS’ comprehensive list of quality measures, dashboards and drivers, and maintains documentation of completed, pending, and planned efforts to improve quality and routine activities that promote consistent high-quality care.

· Supports BYS’ Clinical leaders, who are responsible for monitoring clinical quality and performance in target clinical areas. Coordinates QAQI meetings, documents meeting outcomes, and works with the Director – HIPAA Privacy and Compliance and the Sr Clinical Leaders to advocate for recommendations and achieving deliverables identified in QAQI meetings.

· Works with the Director – HIPAA Privacy and Compliance in preparation of QI materials for presentation to the Executive and Sr Leadership Team.

· Strives to maintain knowledge about current comparatives, best practices, strategies, and trends.

· Works with BYS’s operational teams to assess performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement improvement efforts in selected areas.

· Work with leaders across different departments and therapeutic disciplines to set quality metrics and tracking plans.

· Design and implement auditing systems to track quality and compliance with internal and external performance standards across disciplines and departments.

· Lead initiatives to identify evidence-based tracking and training tools to improve the quality of the services provided to BYS's clients.

· Report on qualitative measures, analyze trends, and present findings and recommendations.

· Provide training on quality measures and expectations to individuals from different departments in support of BYS's continued quality improvement.

· Produce quality guidelines for BYS departments and disciplines in collaboration with leadership to help with mentorship and development of BYS employees and clinicians.

· Provide ongoing support to individuals and departmental leaders to ensure ongoing progress and quality benchmarks are met.

· Provides periodic status updates on status/performance of quality measures, dashboards, and drivers to Sr Leadership.

· Works with marketing and Sr. Leadership team to develop communications and communication plan to internal and external stakeholders recognizing quality achievements.

· Works to develop processes and implement communications and plans to promote a culture of quality at BYS.

· Supports, leads, facilitates, or project manages depending upon project for QI initiatives.

· Collaborates with Sr. Leadership to improve outcomes using iterative improvement methodologies with a focus on sustainability, creating appropriate workflows or structures for ongoing success.

· Assesses the effectiveness of improvement efforts and makes recommendations on integration of initiatives into routine staff workflows.

· Program implementation and program evaluation initiatives.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst & Clinical Supervisory Responsibilities

· Maintain a client caseload.

· Conduct initial evaluation to determine appropriate programming, frequency, and therapy plans.

· Maintain a comprehensive therapy plan for each client; long range goals, short range objectives, activities related to these objectives and an evaluation of progress toward these objectives.

· Collaborate and communicate with relevant BY YOUR SIDE staff to ensure effective and efficient implementation plans.

· Consult and plan with the client’s family concerning progress and development.

· Evaluate and prepare required reports as dictated by insurance parties.

· Arrange parent meetings and caregiver education to maintain communication and education with the family and caregivers.

· Maintain a minimum 10% direct supervision and a minimum 10% indirect supervision per week for each client.

· Timely completion of documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, assessments, insurance reports, and progress reports.

· Maintain current certification with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB).

· Uphold and maintain BYS core principles, policies, and procedures.

· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Qualifications

Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.

· Master’s Degree required in relevant field from an accredited University.

· National Certification by Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

· Two (2) years’ experience as a BCBA.

· Completion of eight (8) hour online, competency-based training module on BACB experience standards.

· Responsible for ensuring that ethical standards and HIPAA privacy and compliance standards are being enforced.

· Experience leading a Peer Review Group and completing Peer Review mentorship related activities.

· Ability to lead a team and supervise therapists.

· Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary professional work environment.

· CPR/First Aid Certified preferred or will train on site.

· CPI Certified preferred or will train on site.

· Familiarity with relevant diagnostic tools and procedures.

· Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.

· Knowledge of sensory and behavioral strategies.

· Must possess strong communications and analytical problem-solving skills.

· Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

· Ability to work effectively and efficiently with changing priorities and deadlines, from remote location(s).

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute on deadlines and produce high quality deliverables with attention to details.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

· Training or experience in clinical quality administration and project management in a healthcare setting.

· Excellent clinical, organizational, teamwork, managerial, and computer skills.

· Ability to do data inquiry and analysis using current tools available at BYS.

· Ability to promote a culture of quality.
