Myticas Consulting is currently seeking an Ariba Supplier Risk Vendor Manager for a contract position with our direct client based in Chicago, IL 60604 or Can Work 100% Remote.

- Assess risk by each vendor
- Developing risk mitigation plans
- Developing vendor management plans
- Crisis management plans

- Candidate will be working with multiple departments
- Experience with full life cycle of vendor management
- Supports and facilitates activities aligned with the full lifecycle of vendor management, including on-time delivery/implementation, performance, cost competitiveness, quality of acquired products and services and problem resolution Supports the development of strategic sourcing and vendor relationship strategies.
- Facilitates the selection, acquisition and monitoring of contractual agreements for hardware, software and services.
- Articulates and negotiates service level agreements.
- Develops or assists in creating Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposal (RFPs) and business cases.
- Qualifies vendors and maintains an approved vendor database and tracking system.
- Establishes standards and procedures for evaluating products and services.
- Follows up with Business Unit stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with delivered products and services and addresses any problems or concerns.
- This position operates under minimal supervision.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for and maintains a close working relationship with current and potential vendors
- Discusses vendor performance, work regarding other services provided and opportunities to improve internal processes with vendors
- Provides status updates on purchases, escalates delivery problems as necessary for minimal impact to the operation
- Researches vendors providing department related products and services
- Conducts transactional activities related to vendor management
- Assists with the adoption and use of a standard methodology and tools across the organization Ensures contracts and purchases comply with the Model Acquisition Guidelines and Bank purchasing policies
- Coordinates and partners with the National Procurement Office on System Technology initiatives and contracts
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience as noted below 5 to 7 years of professional work experience in vendor management Coursework in Business and/or Information Technology beneficial
- Demonstrates independent thinking and decision-making abilities Proficient knowledge of standard contractual agreements required
- Basic understanding of accounting practices, purchasing activities, strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop strategic relationships
- Continuous education regarding emergent IT products
