Description We are in the process of recruiting a Billing Clerk for our team located in OAK BROOK, Illinois. The role is within the Financial Services industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our accounting operations, including handling customer invoicing, credit memos, and collections. You will also be responsible for maintaining accounts receivable records and efficiently managing high volumes of transactions.Responsibilities: Efficient management of invoicing processes, including updating information, applying cash, and issuing credit memos. Perform collection duties and maintain accurate accounts receivable records. Handle high volumes of transactions with precision and efficiency. Utilize various accounting software including NetSuite for different accounting functions. Collaborate with line managers to address any invoice-related inquiries. Resolve accounting tickets via software such as Salesforce. Efficiently handle billing collections and ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records. Process customer credit applications in an accurate and timely manner. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Maintain and update customer records in the accounting software systems regularly. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with IBM AS/400 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience handling Billing Functions Familiarity with Claim Administration Understanding of Collection Processes Strong Customer Service skills Ability to pass any necessary industry-related compliance checks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
