Required Qualifications :This position will work with functional users in Client Service and the Investment Group and translate user requirements into usable specifications for technical resources. A successful candidate must have a technical perspective and be able to bridge the gap between operations, functional processes, and technology to offer workable solutions. Must be approachable, have excellent communication skills and be able to work with users, developers, and project managers. Should excel at identifying problems and opportunities and following those threads to solutions. This role will be involved in all aspects of solution rollout – project management, requirements gathering, spec development and change requests, logic testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, training, and documentation. The Business Analyst role will be based in Chicago.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining projects in Microsoft tools, Excel, SharePoint, and Asana
  • Comparing and reconcile data and results from multiple platforms, systems, and reports
  • Writing up changes and draw process flows and diagrams
  • Testing new applications: Look for and document bugs, errors, user experience issues
  • Working with developers and technical personnel to fix issues and optimize user experience
  • Researching short-cuts, tricks and help users with daily applications
  • Writing documentation, including RFPs, requirements docs, specifications
  • Creating training resources, including documentation, live training for groups or one-on-one, and video
  • Training users on software applications and solutions to aide them becoming self-sufficient
  • Understanding information governance and implement best practices
  • Installing new approved applications on iPhones and laptops
  • Troubleshooting problems
  • Creating diagram reports and internal processes
  • Updating and clean up websites, project management tools, and company intranet
  • Maintenance of user groups

Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on computer, information science or related field
  • Master’s Degree, technical languages, and / or certifications a plus
  • Highly functional in Microsoft technology: SharePoint, Office 365, Planner. Azure DevOps a plus. Familiar with MSSQL, SSRS, HTML, WordPress, Photoshop, CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus), Power Apps
  • Familiarity with investments and wealth management a plus
  • Experience with or at a minimum exposure to project or product management
  • At least 2 years of professional work experience or work at a higher education institution
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, including system configuration
  • Strong oral, written and visual communication
