Business Systems Analyst

Title: Business Systems AnalystLocation: North Chicago, Illinois, 60064Duration: 06 months +Rate: $55/hr on W2

• This role requires an individual with a passion for analyzing data, extracting needs for business decisions, and assisting in creating products which deliver value to our customers.
• As a Business Systems Analyst you will help define and deliver solutions that meet business objectives and will serve as a facilitator between the business and IT in understanding the business’s needs. In partnership with Project Managers, Business Stakeholders, SME’s, and IT interfacing groups you will lead the eliciting, analyzing, validating, and managing of requirements, business processes and high-level solution designs.

• Listen to and support our customers’ needs, with an ability to translate these needs to accurate requirements.
• Facilitate/ Host requirements gathering workshops.
• Work within blended teams to deliver system changes through to completion, leveraging system life cycle.
• Analyze new technical opportunities and proposed system changes; identify, understand, and communicate impacts and risks of different approaches.
• Analyze existing data sets and accurately convey what you are seeing to different audiences, based on level of understanding.

• Analyze data using SQL, Excel, and BI applications (Qlik Sense, Power BI or Spotfire)
• Assist in development of business cases for new projects and initiatives; identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain ad hoc and living system documentation to ensure a robust, shared internal knowledge base on our supported applications.
• Elicit, create, and edit agile user stories, requirements specifications, business processes and design documents.
• Write, coordinate, and execute testing on initiatives and required changes, to ensure business acceptance criteria are met.
• Assist quality assurance with functional test case review.
• Create and execute user acceptance test plans for software changes and enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to and compliance with division and corporate guidelines.
• Work in continuous delivery mode, analyzing and delivering features iteratively.
• Work with teams in multiple time zones using an offshore software development approach.

• BS degree with 5-8 years equivalent experience in an agile project-based environment

• Experience with Web and Mobile applications is an asset.
• Experience in Manufacturing Operations is preferred.
