Position Summary

As part of the Customer Enablement - Analytics and Reporting team, we are centralizing and standardizing the customer experience organization's data to enable data driven decisions at CDK. Driving revenue growth, optimizing organizational effectiveness, and enabling customer first mindset will be the outcomes driven by the CX data-mart.

We are looking to hire a highly-skilled ETL Developer to setup periodic data loads into our new data-mart. You will design and develop the whole ETL architecture while gathering data from various internal and external sources. You will get exposure to various source systems, business processes, tools and technologies. You will get the opportunity to own the end-to-end ETL design and development process.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Understand existing data source systems in Oracle, SQL Server, and Salesforce.
  • Design, develop, and document efficient ETL workflows to setup initial and periodic incremental loads.
  • Setup a robust and scalable ETL infrastructure to ensure high throughput on various data deliverables.
  • Follow ETL best practices to ensure optimal solution design and data quality.
  • Work with team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models.
  • Develop standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
  • Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts.
  • Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
  • Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Work with a dedicated team of Business Intelligence Developers, Data Analysts, and Data scientists.
  • Interact with various globally located cross functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot any data issues that may arise.
  • Provide maintenance and support.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10 years of experience working as an ETL developer using tools like Talend, SSIS, Datastage, Alteryx.
  • Expert at coding SQL, Stored Procedures, and complex ETL logic.
  • Understanding of various data warehouse architectures and data modeling techniques.
  • Ability to analyze company's big-picture data needs, and develop optimal solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
  • Good to have on premise to AWS cloud data migration experience.
  • Good to have NoSQL, Big Data, and Python programming experience.
  • Ability to quickly learn new ETL tools and technologies.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
