Description There's currently a short-term contract / temporary opportunity in the Accountancy industry at Robert Half for an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy and a knack for solving complex problems. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Other projects as required
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements - Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
Highly organized and self-motivated
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
This position needs to be filled by someone with financial reporting systems proficiency
Business valuation experience
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Skilled with ERP systems
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
