Job DescriptionNorth Americas leading operator of depot service terminals and intermodal and finished vehicle ramps is looking for a Chassis Mechanic to join their team! This role can pay $23.00-30.00/hr based on experience, and this person will be responsible for:
Conducts routine/scheduled maintenance on railroad leased/owned containers and chassis
Repairs equipment in accordance with railroad, IEP, manufacturer & FMCSA guidelines
Documents repairs according to an established reporting system; verbally and in writing
Repairs tires, brakes, lights, landing leg and framework
Performs light welding when required

Minimum of 1-year verifiable mechanic experience in ANY industry
Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs
Must be comfortable working flexible hours in emergencies
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
Must have own hand tools
Valid Drivers License
Must be willing to complete a drug screen - Willingness to obtain Forklift Certification null
