Job Title: CNC Lathe MachinistJob DescriptionThis person will be expected to take a part from print to finished product on their own. They will receive a drawing and be asked to set their own vices, select their own tooling/material, and download the correct program as needed to run the part. The parts can vary in size, ranging from 2 inches to 24 inches for these particular machines, with the majority being stainless steel.Key responsibilities include:

- Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings from engineering

- Working directly with engineering to improve the machining process

- Performing full setups on machines (changing jaws, touching off tools, building off tools)

- Troubleshooting machines (performing adjustments and offsets if a part isn't coming out right)

- Working with tolerances of +- .0002

- Conducting first piece inspections with CMM machine and gauging tools (air gauges, height gauges, calipers, micrometers)

- Utilizing the autocrib system

- Managing 3 setups per week and operating 2 machines at a timeHard Skills
