Core Responsibilities:

Point of contact for UCC related escalations

Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Handle UCC related queries and clarifications from various team members across WLS

Manage production, reports and productivity metrics to ensure all SLA's are met and any exceptions are escalated for resolution

Coordinates projects, data scrubs, system testing, and related activities

Identify trends, process changes, and training necessary to streamline/improve processes and prevent errors with end-to end focus

Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings; evaluate staff's abilities and development needs, creating customized learning/training plans based on individual need with a goal to develop a deep level of understanding within the team; administer HR policies fairly and consistently

Assist with developing and maintaining all process documentation including standard operating procedures, job aids, and process maps and ensures all impacted parties are informed

Provide individual and team training and coaching on all functions

Understand and adhere to Bank policies and procedures, as well as adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements

Manage internal partner expectations with initiatives or requests outside of normal services

Exercise judgment, discretion and prioritization

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience as team lead/supervisor or related experience

Minimum 3 -5 years loan processing/documentation experience in the banking or financial services industry, including collateral experience

Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and leverage internal resources in a fast-paced operations environment

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally

Ability to lead, challenge and adapt in a changing business landscape

Ability to focus on the key issues and drive initiatives to conclusion

Strong relationship management and partnership skills

Creative problem solving and solid judgment/decision making skills

Works effectively with minimal supervision

High proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft applications

Preferred Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of UCCs, Article 9, and iLien vendor platform

Experience with different types of collateral, loan products, and loan operations

Prefer experience with related systems such as LoanIQ, iCRD, DealWorks, Ivault, ACBS, VLS/RLOTS, Customer Assist

Undergraduate or graduate school degree
