CACI is looking for several levels of Configuration Managers to support our customer, U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), at Scott AFB Illinois. This position is contingent upon award of the USTRANSCOM Command, Control, Communication & Cyber Systems Managed Information Technology Services (MITS), Enterprise support Managed services.

Configuration Managers are responsible for configuration management (CM) of both developmental and operational systems. Establishes and maintains the consistency of information regarding the design requirements, functional and physical attributes, and operational information of enterprise configuration items (CIs). Works with developmental and operational teams to create and maintain multiple, disparate configuration baselines (e.g., development, test, production) for their systems. Configuration Managers recommend and utilize automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures. Develop and modify CM plans, policies, and procedures and tailor them to the complexity and scope of each developmental or operational system. Exercise CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems, from the initial definition of requirements and capabilities of system baselines through the end-of-life of each system. This includes the periodic performance of configuration audits. May provide work direction and guidance to others. Other duties as assigned.

More About the Role:

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.

Develop the configuration management plan, processes, and procedures to manage the supported networks and systems. Work with technical personnel to gather data to populate and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Work with and coordinate closely with the asset management team. Provide configuration management planning.

Define provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into Cis.

Additionally, the Configuration Manager will provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required. You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to maintain
  • BA/BS and 5+ years experience
  • ITIL v3 - Foundation
  • CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • ITIL Intermediate Release, Control, and Validation (RCV)
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM and/or other automatic reporting tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Licensing
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
  • Experience with DoD IT security requirements
  • Expert skill in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of supporting Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008-2016 and Windows 10, VMWare vSphere, Solaris 10-11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux
