Career Area:EngineeringJob Description:Caterpillar Motor Graders is looking for a Cost Project Leader (internally known as Project Leader III) to lead NPI cost management efforts within the Regional NPI & Cost Team. The Regional NPI & Cost Team is responsible for regional execution of New Product Introductions (NPI) and managing product costs for the worldwide Motor Grader Product line. If you are looking for an individual contributor role which collaborates across the business to have a high impact on future Caterpillar product, we have an exciting opportunity for you!As Cost Project Leader, you will be responsible for executing the NPI cost management process across multiple Motor Grader NPI programs. This includes working with global partners in engineering, accounting, and supply chain to manage cost rollups. Primary point of contact for Motor Grader NPI product cost, which includes:

Managing top-level cost arrangements throughout the NPI process using PCM (Product Cost Management) webtool and PowerBi dashboards.

Working with partners, directing workload for developing should cost models, releasing cost arrangements, and identifying cost reduction/avoidance opportunities.

Lead LCP (Low Cost Producer) initiatives within NPI for Motor Graders.

To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications):

5+ years of engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

3+ years of engineering experience with a Master’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or Business curriculum.

A Basic understanding of product cost inputs, accounting methodologies, and tracking metrics.

Top Candidates Will Also Bring (desired qualifications):

High level of verbal and written communication skills; an ability to see the big picture; the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently with a diverse global team.

Experience with data analysis, manipulation, and relevant tools (Excel, PowerBi, Tableau, etc.).

Project experience with projects across multiple disciplines (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain).

Additional Details:

Locations: Decatur, IL or Peoria, IL or North Little Rock, AR

Hybrid environment (2-3 days onsite per week)

This position requires up to 5-10% travel, domestic and international.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Salary for this role ranges from $104,112. to $156,168. Actual salary will be determined based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond the base salary includes:
