Beyond working to secure quality products at the lowest possible prices through our Buying and support teams (Administration, Merchandising, Pricing, Quality Assurance, Analytics and more), our teams ensure we are providing the best value and quality in everything we do.In this role the Customer Insights & Analytics Senior Analyst will be responsible for analyzing various data sources, identifying insights and recommending solutions that drive sales growth for merchants and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience working in category analytics and/or category management within the consumer packaged goods industry. The objective of this role is to be an integral partner for our National Buying stakeholders and to drive company-wide growth.Position Type: Full-TimeWork Location: Aurora, ILThis role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).Duties and Responsibilities:Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Analyzes industry, competitive, customer, and category trends and provides insights through reports and presentations to senior leadership and merchants to drive decision-making. Supports and influences strategies through constructing analyses, evaluating results, summarizing findings, and delivering actionable takeaways and recommendations. Leverages multiple data sources (internal and external) to solve business problems. Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and fellow team members to align on business objectives, overcome barriers and convey complex concepts in a simplified manner. Builds relationships with internal stakeholders and other cross-functional teams by acting as a strategic partner. Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility. Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility. Experience with syndicated POS and Panel data (IRI or Nielsen) required. CPG/Retail data analytics experience preferred. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred. Experience with data tools such as Alteryx or SQL language preferred. Knowledge of statistical analysis and R / Python a plus.Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field required. A minimum of 3 years of progressive category analytics/insights/management experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry required. Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, and/or Power BI.Physical Requirements: Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties. Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another. Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
