Customer Service Representative

Description We are in the Non-Profit sector, located in Palos Heights, Illinois, and we are seeking a Customer Service Representative. The position involves working in an office setting, managing a high volume of customer interactions, and contributing to the overall customer experience. The employment type for this role is a short term contract.Responsibilities: Answer inbound calls with the aim to provide excellent customer service Process building permits and handle permit research tasks Maintain a high level of organization in managing multiple tasks Communicate effectively with contractors and follow up as necessary Handle filing duties to ensure accurate record keeping Collect cash payments from customers and contractors Greet customers and provide assistance as needed Handle a high volume of calls, around 50-70 per day Work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines as required Utilize customer service skills to resolve customer inquiries. Requirements Proven experience in a customer service role Proficiency in answering inbound calls and handling customer inquiries Ability to collect payments in an efficient and accurate manner Experience in filing and maintaining customer records Knowledge of building permits and the ability to assist customers in this area Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service Proficiency in using computer systems and software Familiarity with the non-profit sector is a plus, but not required.
