Position Description CGI Federal's Defense and Emerging Technologies Practice (ETP) seeks a highly motivated Data Analyst to join their Data team at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The candidate will join a team of data engineers and data scientists that work on the collecting, storing, processing, and analysis of huge sets of data. Your primary focus will be doing statistical analysis, and building high-quality analytic systems for the USTRANSCOM team at Scott AFB, Illinois. The position is onsite at a government facility and require at least a DoD Secret clearance. The position requires the development of a monthly brief for the air, ground and sea modules. Additional tasking will require support of the dynamic transportation team of subject matter experts working with US commercial air carriers to support the DoD's transportation needs.

Your future duties and responsibilities• Connect data from disparate sources to the business processes• Data Mining, data mapping and ETL process development• Collect and validate the existing data architecture; validates the new data architecture.• Evaluate data quality• Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues• Extending existing data with third party and open sources of information when needed• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner• Briefing Government lead monthly on results and producing the brief for the meeting• Willingness to learn and become a subject matter expert in the Commercial Reserve Air Fleet program and DoD airlift implementation. Coordination with US government agencies, services, and US commercial airline industry members

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Active DoD Secret Clearance required, per Federal stipulation.• Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or other technical disciplines• 1+ years of overall experience in data analysis and statistical modeling• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable• Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, R Shiny, GGplot, etc.• Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources• Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.• Logistics/transportation and military training to the program supported activity• Experience or willingness to learn logistics or engineering-related project development from inception to deployment. Demonstrated capability in overall project management of DoD transportation/logistics projects in this complexity.• In-depth experience utilizing desktop software including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and concepts. Excellent writing and presentation abilities. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; ability to lead joint planning and analysis meetings and to develop after-action reports.

Desired Qualifications:Data Analyst Qualifications• Experience with cloud providers - Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure• Experience with Cloudera/MapR/Hortonworks/Databricks• Knowledge of data exploration and visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, D3, etc)• Algorithm development on high-performance systems such as Spark, H20.ai, and others• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDBAirline / AirLift Business Qualifications• Knowledge of DoD transportation system and work within USTRANSCOM• Experience Airlift with Commercial Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF), especially FAR Part 135.• Prepares briefings for the Commander, USTRANSCOM, and the airlift carrier chief executive officers on the evolutionary progress of CRAF program.• Confers with program manager; provides advice and assistance with DoD issues
