As a Delivery Manager in Commercial Data Lake in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.Directs, manages, plans and administers the operational and administrative activities associated with the running of the Database Engineering, Data Products and Analytics to support Patient Services and Consumer Marketing functions. Responsible for the development and enforcement of standards for design and capacity planning for databases spanning multiple platforms, technologies and applications. Sets goals and strategies for the Database Engineering team.In this role, you will be responsible for:
Compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Acts as a point of contact for the cross functional teams including the business stakeholders, BTS leads, Program/Project managers, external agencies and partners, taking accountability for end-to-end data delivery and to maintain the delivery excellence.

Responsible for Demand planning, delivery prioritization, team onboarding and resource management, facilitating requirements refinement with business & BTS functional teams, defining timelines & dependencies as well as provide leadership and direction to Database engineering team.
Supports those who initiate change and take risks. Sets standards and technical LRP's for database platforms and DBE tools. Provides advice and counsel regarding effective system utilization to meet business requirements.
Determine alternative delivery mechanisms. Negotiates, secures, oversees & ensures that resources are available to meet the long range operational demands of the area.
Oversee and control department budgets: develop, monitor and meet expense and recovery plans; continually look for opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance. Manage IT investment for the functional component.
Responsible for all aspects of people leadership; setting expectations, coaching, counseling, developing, evaluating, feedback, hiring, discipline and separations. Determine necessary mix of skill set.
Confronts and deals with employees issues in a constructive and timely manner. Responsible for overall morale of team and promotes cohesive attitude. Establishes staffing/resource plans, determining appropriate mix of sourcing opportunities (outsourcing, offshoring and hot skills).
Responsible for overall organizational effectiveness. Establish and maintain high-quality relationships with all levels across the company and with external partners.
QualificationsA strong candidate will have experience with:Required:
Bachelor's Degree with 8 years experience; Master's Degree with 7 years experience; PhD with 3 years experience.
Experience to include project management, supervisory experience, employee development, technical experience and strategic systems planning.
Hands on experience with big data technologies like Hive, Impala, Hue, Spark, BI tools like PowerBI, Datorama, and knowledge of data analytics capabilities using Python, R etc.
Experience with Cloud data technologies like Snowflake, ETL tools like Informatica IICS
Experience on data cataloging and data lineage tools like Alation, Manta etc.
Hands on experience on Agile delivery methodology, Scrum / Kanban frameworks and agile project management tools like JIRA, Confluence etc.
Beneficial:
Proven track record of delivering a collection projects and products for a portfolio size of about $5M.
Experience with Service Operations in a multi-sourced and multi-project environment.
Work experience in marketing analytics and reporting.
Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
