You are data literate (Caterpillar data ecosystem / opportunities to generate business value through analytics / analytics methods / analytics or visualization project management)
You have outstanding business and communication skills and can explain complex solutions to people from various functions and hierarchical levels.
You can articulate and translate complex and sometimes competing business requirements to technical (analytics) people with a focus on concrete deliverable
You have successful project management and leadership experience with both data analytics and non-analytics teams and stakeholders
You learn fast, are very curious and convinced we can lead big changes in a 95 years industrial company
Responsibilities:
Direct supervisor of the ecommerce analytics team. Accountable for the success of direct reports and providing performance feedback. Provide career and skill development assistance.
Manage stakeholders from various organizations with a focus on services growth
Contribute to Lens’ vision and the Aftermarket Analytics services roadmap to deliver value on the short-mid and longer term
Required Skills:
Academic background in statistics/physics/computer science/mathematics or other relevant field for data science
5+ years of experience in applying data science for business
Breadth of understanding in the application of analytics techniques to solve business problems
Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, highly effective delegation skills, and an advanced ability to manage diversity. Strengths in Customer Focus, Communications, Leadership, Managing Diversity, People Development, and Accountability
Fast learner, curious, business results oriented
Preferred Skills:
10+ years working in analytics functions
5+ years of programming experience in R or Python
Demonstrated domain expertise in ecommerce and data science
Previous experience extracting data and insights from platforms including Google Analytics, BiqQuery, & Snowflake
Previous experience developing statistical models
Previous experience working in an AWS environment
