Electrical Engineer

Description:

Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks

Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities

Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives

Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

Research and apply building code, regulatory and industry code requirements

Prepare electrical design calculations, utilize electrical and lighting design software

Responsible for supporting the electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under the guidance of lead staff

Coordinating with multiple disciplines and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule

Ensures discipline plans meet overall project team requirements for scope and schedule

Stays current on codes and technologies appropriate to electrical, telecom, and security

Ensures conformance with standards and established design practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction

Develops designs within a BIM design environment

Completes assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client specified criteria and applicable codes and standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must have a BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related degree

Degree must be accredited in the United States

Must have 3+ years of engineering experience with an MEP or architecture firm

This does NOT include internship experience

Must be professionally experienced with Revit

Professional experience, not internship experience

Must be immediately local- immediate need, no relocation

Hybrid role, 3 days in office

Must have valid, permanent work authorization without assistance

No educational extensions
