Emergency Technician

Provides basic care and related non-professional tasks for the personal and comfort needs of the patient. Works under the direction/supervision of a Registered Nurse.Must be aware of responsibilities of providing physical care to infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions. Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with patients and staff and maintain good patient and public communication. Must be able to set priorities and react rationally to situations in patient care settings. Must be High school graduate or equivalent. CPR Certification required. Current certification/registration as a CNA, EMT-B or , Medical Assistant in appropriate state.A. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent. Certification as a CNA, Medical Assistant, EMT-Basic. Or current PCT working within Trinity Medical Center that were grandfathered into the PCT position title. B. KNOWLEDGE, ABILITITES & SKILLS: Must be aware of responsibilities of providing physical care to infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
