Enrollment Services’ main function is to welcome new and prospective students and provide them with information about the college. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to share your positive student experiences with others!As an Enrollment Services Ambassador, you will be expected to engage with new students to the College by providing campus tours, assisting with events such as Open Houses, College Fairs, public events, etc. Enrollment Services Ambassadors will also assist students virtually, through zoom and live chat, and on campus at the Registration Assistance room and Welcome and One Stop Center ( WOSC ) by greeting students as they enter the area, walking guests to scheduled meetings and events on campus, assisting with student applications, class registration, financial aid, and additional assigned duties as needed.As an Enrollment Services Student Ambassador, you will be part of a team of staff who assists other departments throughout the year with a variety of events, and only the most professional, responsible, well spoken, and positive students are hired for this leadership role. Thorough training will be conducted by Outreach & On-Campus Experience Staff for use of all administrative systems, tasks, campus and class information, and other necessary duties.Required Qualification(s) -Must be a CLC student enrolled in a total of 6 credits for spring 2024 or 3 credits for summer 2024and have a cumulative GPA above 2.0-Professional and friendly demeanor-Excellent written & oral communication skills-Strong leadership ability-Consistent weekly availability and flexibility to work special events-Must be available to work between semesters, during the summer, and over winter breakDesired Qualification(s) Posting Date Special Instructions Summary Please attach a chart of Monday-Friday availability with application (consistency week to week is expected)Pay Rate $15.00 Location Grayslake Total Hours per week Variable, not to exceed 20 hours per week Work Schedule -Shifts will generally be consistent based upon individual availability at beginning of the semester, though week-to-week hours may vary when needed-Some nights and Saturdays will be required-Will not be scheduled during class time-Position runs through the end of the academic yearEEO Statement The College of Lake County is an equal opportunity employer and has a strong commitment to diversity.
