What makes this fun?In this very dynamic role, you will have an opportunity to use your Business Intelligence developer skill set to deliver data reporting SOLUTIONS across this GLOBAL ENTERPRISE! Your input can change and help enable delivery capabilities to our business partners globally and leverage existing business objectives. You will team up with Sales, Operations and Finance while gaining exposure to SAP and leveraging DB SQL queries to run reports, so you are right in the thick of developing these capabilities.

Some of the things you will design, develop, and be responsible for:
  • Work across the organization with requirements, solution architecture, quality assurance, and production support teams to successfully deliver on BI ETL data design and development for the needed business requirements supporting various business units.
  • Create data integration solutions to fulfill the reporting and data service requirements of various Business Units using SAP Business Objects Data Services and/or Informatica.
  • Closely work with users to understand and drive data and reporting requirements.
  • Understand and develop working Data Mart models for different databases like Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Ensure that appropriate unit testing is accomplished, SLAs and company standards are met, and delivery artifacts are reviewed.
  • Provide support and maintenance for the services being offered to the business and the environments in which they are offered.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company and industry standards, methodologies, processes, and technology to communicate Wolters Kluwer's competitive advantage to customers.
  • Enhance systems, processes, and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place.
The experience we look forward to you having:
  • Minimum 3 years experience designing and building ETL solutions using Informatica and/or Business Objects Data Services (BODS) to fulfill data integration requirements
  • Strong knowledge of building data integration solutions using Informatica or BODS
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL query development to analyze and profile data
  • Deep understanding of data warehouse design
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, MySQL or SQL Server), including data modeling, database design, SQL performance tuning.
  • Experience on-premise and cloud-based tools
  • Use data tools such as TOAD or equivalent
  • Planning and managing projects for on-time, on-budget delivery, including utilizing project life cycle methodology and procedures.
  • Analyzing business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, and delivering presentations to senior management, peer groups, and associates.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field; Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science or MBA
