Summary:
  • CEI’s Fortune 400 Client in Telecommunications is adding an entry-level/Junior Systems Engineer to their team!
  • This detail-oriented individual will be responsible for programming system components of Radio Communications System

Job at a glance:
  • Long term contract with potential for extensions through 2025
  • $23.75-28/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
  • On-site position based in Elgin, IL
  • Role Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Project:
  • This Client location is host to hundreds of Customers each year and is where customer needs and technological solutions come together thru the Systems Staging process
  • The Engineering Team works with field teams to develop the fine design details of a Radio Communications System and to support the fundamental objective of Total Customer Satisfaction

Responsibilities:
  • Main responsibility will be programming system components
  • Work with a team of staging engineers and field personnel to test customer systems
  • Provide "hands-on" support for systems testing and troubleshooting
  • Serve as a catalyst for the resolution of product and system problems and communicate issues quickly and accurately to the staging engineers

Required Skills:
  • Punctuality, Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aggressive problem-solving skills and the ability to get things done in a multi-organizational environment
  • Must have Skills: Networking, Windows, basic commands, Unix, Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Knowledge of active directory and virtual machines
  • Nice to have: Degree and/or working towards a degree is highly Preferred.
  • Years of experience: This is an entry-jr level position. Would prefer some work experience
