Primary Responsibilities:• Developing and maintaining complex SQL queries used to create database objects, tables, stored procedures, and views for reports, dashboards, and data marts in Teradata• Performing script execution, maintaining, developing, and modifying existing programs to meet system and design specifications• Participating in unit, integration, and system testing• Performing data profiling and quality review and analysis• Improve the delivery and management of health and human services programs by utilizing data analytics and quality reviews• Gathering business requirements and preparing analyses based on information from internal and external sources to evaluate and demonstrate program effectiveness and efficiency supporting projects and change requests• Participating in project discussions to document and recommend alternative technical solutions or requirements• Participating in unit, integration, and system testing• Maintaining effective communication and relationships with all individuals involved with the project• Learning new technologies as needed to be able to perform job duties effectively• Performing additional duties that are normally associated with this position, as assigned Required Qualifications:• Demonstrable experience on a number of data related projects. This needs to include significant experience on Master Data Management, data architecture design, data mapping, data quality assessment and information governance• Hands-on experience of business analysis in the areas of Master data management, Data Architecture, Data Migration, Data Modelling, Data Quality Management and Information Governance• At least 4-5 years of experience in Business Process improvements, problem definition and definition of processes• Ability to develop data quality solutions by performing Data Profiling and cleansing activities and experience on at least 2 end-to-end data centric projects as a Data/Business analyst• Contribute to the analysis, and delivery of data migration, data integration and data warehousing projects by performing complex data mapping and data conversion activities.• 5+ years of hands-onexperience writing complex SQL queries/scripts creating database object, tables, stored procedures, or views• 5+ years of data warehouse project experience• Experience working with Master Data Management (MDM), preferably Teradata MDM• Excellent verbal/written communication skills, end client-facing skills, team collaboration, and mentoring• Excellent data analysis skills including business intelligence, data interpretation/visualization, data staging, and / data quality• Strong organizations skills and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines• Maintaining effective communication and relationships with all persons involved with the project• Participating in project discussions to document and recommend alternative technical solutions or requirements• Participating in unit, integration, and system testing• Bachelors or advanced degree in a related field such as Information Technology/Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Analytics, Business Technology Preferred• Understanding of relational & dimensional modeling• Understanding of HIPAA privacy & security rules• Knowledge of Medicaid payment policy and MMIS data• Knowledge of Agile and waterfall development techniques• Proven ability to work with customers, DBAs, ETL programmers, Business intelligence architects, and PMO staff in a collaborative manner• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business users in a clear and concise manner• Thorough understanding ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT-4, NDC and other medical coding standards• Requirements gathering, documenting, and creating specifications for X12/EDI/XML translation to Teradata table structures and BI reporting needs
