Functional Description: The ETL Developer is responsible for loading and extracting data into and out of the Teradata database. The ETL developer must learn and understand the technical structure of the data and the business use of the data. Knowing what the data is supposed to do and how end-users will use the data supports accurate loading, staging, transformation, and testing/troubleshooting of data. Our team is responsible for a wide range of data to support business needs. Our developers must work with their Lead to determine the steps (or plan) needed to implement the solution. Our projects range from small (8 – 10 hours), medium (300-1000 hours), or large (more than 1000 hours). The developer will work with the customer to define the requirements, create the technical design, code the solution, and implement the code into development, UAT, and production.

Primary Responsibilities: Use Informatica PowerCenter to Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) source data from agency sources, applying numerous transformations to the data that are required, applying corrections to the source files, and adding new fields via the change request processAutomate the staging of data by scheduling scripts to run at optimal times, enhancing overall system performance and efficiencyCreate, maintain, and support an ETL/Informatica architectural and system environment for development and productionPerform domain/repository backups and recovery operationsImplementing ETL jobs by creating mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflowsWorking with different ETL transformations, including Aggregator, Expression, Filter, Router, Sequence Generator, Update Strategy, Joiner, Rank and Source Qualifier, Lookup, and SorterScheduling and monitoring ETL/Informatica jobs in development, system testing, and production environmentDeveloping proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance tuningSupporting and advising the development teams on technical issuesTroubleshoot production support issues post-release deployment and comes up with solutionsDeveloping and maintaining complex SQL queries and scripts used to create data marts in TeradataParticipating in project discussions to document and recommend alternative technical solutions or requirementsParticipating in unit, integration, and system testingMaintaining effective communication and relationships with all individuals involved with the projectLearning new technologies as needed to be able to perform job duties effectivelyProviding status progress and meeting deliverables to Optum’s leadership and Optum’s customerRequired Qualifications: 7+ years of Informatica PowerCenter / ETL Experience5+ years of complex SQL and Performance Tuning Experience2+ years of Teradata Version 15+ experience, including Teradata Utilities (Fastload, TPT, Multiload)2+ years of ETL / Informatica PowerCenter administrative experienceExcellent verbal/written communication skills, end-client facing, team collaboration, and mentoring skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to set priorities and schedule work deadlines.Bachelors or Advanced Degree in a related field such as Information Technology/Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Analytics, Business TechnologyAdapting to the team and organizational cultureLocation: Telecommute with occasional (2 -3 per year) travel to Springfield, Illinois.Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of Data Warehouse experienceExperience in Reporting/Analytics tool shall be a plus (SAP BO, Tableau, SAS, PowerBI)Experience in Windows, Unix/Linux scripting, R, React, or PythonExperience in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Address Doctor, Metadata ManagerExperience with State Medicaid / Medicare / Healthcare applicationsETL/Informatica or SQL or BI or Teradata CertificationExperience working in Agile.Experience with Data Warehouse technologies within the domain of ETL/data integration, Business Intelligence, relational and multi-dimensional database systems Best Regards, Pranay B | DATAMAXIS, Inc
