This role provides an opportunity for learning and development of technical and consultative skills while working alongside our Consultants and Burwood project team members. Individuals will be expected to develop a broad base of knowledge and become well-rounded in several technologies.In this role, the Field Services Technician has the following responsibilities:Learn and develop technical and soft skillsProvide technical support on various client projectsFollow direction and guidance from team leaders and mentorsWork cohesively with other Burwood Group project team members and co-workersComplete client site assessment surveys accurately and comprehensivelyDocument and inventory all on-site technology to prep for network/server stack cutovers and possible low voltage/high voltage upgradesConduct LiDAR and Ekahau assessments for client sites to provide wireless heatmapping proposalsFacilitate the installation and configuration of new network equipment racks, workstation deployments, and other technology infrastructure upgradesAct as an on-site liaison for remote engineers, clearly communicating any issues or required adjustments for facilitating site cutoversPerform basic troubleshooting for common issues such as label printing problems, VLAN identification, and misc. hardware/software troubleshootingReview site instructions before arrival and ensure all tools and equipment are prepared and functionalCollect and document detailed notes and photographs of completed workMaintain the highest level of professionalism and decorum in all client interactionsFollow all site-specific protocols and safety guidelines
