Serves as a representative of Cornerstone Credit Union in our South Beloit branch, to assist our members with their financial needs. Responsible for providing members with deposit and loan services in a courteous and professional manner while providing prompt, efficient and accurate member service. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Credit Union philosophies as well as Cornerstone policies. Essential Functions:

Perform routine member transactions including, but not limited to, account inquiries, transfers; check withdrawals, stop payments, request for check and statement copies, and general information.

Independently complete opening and closing of memberships including but not limited to lending and deposit accounts transactions (i.e. Consumer loans, deposit accounts including Money Markets).

Handle inquiries and required maintenance of direct deposit and payroll changes.

Demonstrate proficiency in cross selling services offered by Cornerstone Credit Union.

Ability to handle problem resolutions using independent judgment to waive fees or make exceptions to policies when warranted to ensure member satisfaction, and to know when to transfer the member to an appropriate CCU employee for resolution.

Understand and cross-sell CCU technology (i.e. EARS, CCU website, CU Branch and CU Bill Pay)

Respond to inquiries made by members via telephone or email in a timely, friendly and professional manner.

Ability to assist members with loan inquiries, loan applications, loan balance/payoffs, quote NADA values, quote AutoCare premiums, understand and cross sell loan products & services (i.e.: AutoCare insurance, GAP insurance, credit life & disability insurance).

Redeem US Savings Bonds and direct members to on line purchases of US Savings Bonds.

Order members checks.

Understand and follow all CCU policies and standard procedures.

Remain aware of, understand and comply with regulatory and compliance issues for consumer loans and deposit accounts.

Keep Manager informed of needs and/or concerns in a timely manner.

Initiate and promote a positive attitude among all team participants.

Maintain and promote confidentiality of members, employees and CCU information.

Update and monitor reports and activities with Team Members and Manager (i.e. daily calendar and monthly reports).

HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 year experience in a financial institution with previous lending experience is required.

Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Basic PC skills required with p roficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Strong written and verbal communications skills important.

Previous cross selling/member(customer) relations experience required.

Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Requires well-developed interpersonal skills for communicating information.

Maintain member and CCU confidentiality.

Performance Standards:

Meet new accounts goal monthly.

Meet Credit Disability monthly goal on eligible loans.

Meet Credit Life monthly goal on eligible loans.

Meet goal on Mechanical Repair Coverage Policies sold monthly.

Meet goal on GAP Policies sold monthly.

Meet minimum monthly loan volume. goal

Obtaining lending authority within 12 months of your hire date.
