Description We are looking for a FMLA Administrator in the transport industry based in HOMEWOOD, Illinois. As part of our team, you will be in charge of managing leave and attendance, including short-term disability leaves and FMLA. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the administration of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policies. Handle short-term disability leaves effectively and efficiently. Perform regular auditing tasks to ensure all leave requests are appropriately documented and processed. Communicate effectively with managers regarding paperwork from doctors' offices and any required follow-up. Use your strong communication skills to address leave-related inquiries. Administer COBRA policies and manage benefits functions. Process leave requests and manage leave of absence procedures. Use your knowledge of medical leave policies to ensure all regulations are adhered to. Ensure accurate claim administration. Maintain a full understanding of all relevant benefit functions.Requirements Demonstrated experience in Auditing within the transport industry Proven knowledge of Benefit Functions and Claim Administration Proficiency in Cobra Administration Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations Ability to manage Leave Administration, including Leave of Absence and Leave Requests Experience with Medical Leave processes and regulations Familiarity with industry-standard compensation and benefits software Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) would be an advantage.
