They are looking for a Full Stack / Frontend Software Developer to support software and projects by providing full-stack code and solutions using React, Javascript, Node.JS and AWS services. This is a remote position.As a member of a small team, you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the application including tackling including visual design and layout, user experience, client-side coding (JavaScript and React), and backend API. The product is focused heavily on the frontend but as a small team our client needs someone who isn't afraid to pick up minor backend tasks in Node.JS and simple to moderate SQL under the direction of other backend experts.The software allows banks and credit unions with B2B banking tools which often cater to large institutions. Our client has launched an ambitious effort to develop new software products and services for banks and financial professionals including an online CD marketplace, a bond trading platform, analytic and data aggregation tools, and credit risk analysis tools. Responsibilities:
- Build internal and external facing product features.
- Create Highchart based charts, graphs, visualizations based on our product data
- Create components such as inputs, forms, modals and controls for the UI.
- Create a simple and intuitive user experience for our customers.
- Collaborate daily with product owners on user stories and deliverables in an agile environment.
- Design and implement visual aspects of the front-end application including CSS, HTML, and layouts.
- Create a resilient and secure application using relevant validation and security standards.
- Provide solutions which adhere to our security principles to protect customer confidential data
- 4+ years' experience with web front end languages and technologies
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks including React or similar frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or Ember
- Some experience with backend programming, api development, SQL, database query, relational data table design
- Experience with cloud-based software development and services such as S3, Lambda, Cognito, IAM, RDS or comparable experience with competitors such as Azure
- A passion for good UI and UX design
- Ability to research and resolve programming problems independently.
- Ability to work effectively remotely.
- Good grasp of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, e.g., LESS and SASS
- Good understanding of APIs and REST services
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as git
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
