Job Summary

Plans, directs, and controls the sales activities of the organization's global sales programs to increase revenue from specified Fortune 500 accounts within a broad geographic area. Develops strategic selling initiatives for the organization's products and services to maximize profitability and market share.

What you'll do:
  • Controls and contributes to the sales activities of the organization's global sales programs to increase revenue from specified Fortune 500 accounts within a broad geographic area.
  • Develops strategic selling initiatives for the organization's products and services to maximize profitability and increase market share in designated geographic areas.
  • Negotiates global accounts and contracts and makes recommendations to the organization's sales management to identify target business opportunities.
  • Coordinates, recommends, and implements the organization's global sales strategies, including growth within existing/organic portfolio as well as identifying and closing new opportunities.
  • Follows and supports the organization's marketing and communications strategies.
  • Attends, facilitates, and represents the organization at trade shows, seminars, and other sales events.
  • Maintains the organization's global account files, tasks, activities, and proposals utilizing SalesForce

What we're looking for:
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales function.

Skills and abilities you should have:
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of outside sales processes.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.

Portfolio Scope
  • Global Account Manager (GAM) will be responsible for a portfolio of 22 accounts, with ABG Revenue of $54m.
  • GAM will be covering a territory in and around, but not limited to, the Chicago area.

Travel Requirements:

Moderate travel

15 - 20% travel will be required
