The Global Head, PE Technology Owner role is accountable to plan and implement continuous improvements, innovation initiatives as the end-to-end technology owner. S/He will oversee the technology knowledge resources and expertise within end-to-end operations and be a key contact internally.

This role will have a wide focus including the development and implementation of global standardization of technologies including process equipment, setup and operations; development and introduction of new process technologies.

Responsibilities:

-Develops and builds capabilities on existing process technology knowledge in creating a network of subject matter experts for supporting task forces, tech transfer and expansion efforts.

-This role will also support external programs.

-Develops plans and execute continuous improvement and modernization initiatives to drive the robustness of current processes and process technology (captured in technology roadmaps and technology “health check”)

  • Strives for state of the art technology, full automation, real time monitoring leading to real time processing

  • Cleaning technology & aseptic and sterility technology subject matter expert and team expertise to support upgrade and standardization

  • Identify technology best practices and implement

  • Support technology automation integration as a key role for process engineering integration in the technology and process upgrade processes

-Drives standardization of process technologies used globally and set standards for the future.

-Delivers on technology innovations by partnering with other groups to deliver enterprise improvements

  • Scouting new technologies

  • New process and technology innovation – process modeling; wet and dry lab simulations

-As the process engineering technology owner is responsible to operationalize expansions and tech transfer. Specifically supports tech transfer for water & engineering run such as fine tuning technology for equipment start up (through Process engineering PT teams)

-Chair process and technology forums (ie community of practice) including relevant process and technology SMEs from within and outside PE.

-Create technology strategy and work with Process engineering PT site teams in execution.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or other related technical field. Advanced degree preferable

  • 10 years or more working in Process Engineering in Pharmaceutical, Chemical Manufacturing or similar industry.

    • 5 years or more working experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement development & execution

  • Strong communication and conflict management skills to influence project professionals and stakeholders, including non‐specialists, at all levels in the organization

  • Demonstrated experience in managing, organizing, developing and deploying best practice frameworks, processes, tools and templates in an Operations context, in alignment with Enterprise standards

  • 5 years or more experience working within a global matrix organization

  • Involvement in cross-functional, multicultural and international teams
