As the Workday Test Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our HCM Workday system through comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes. Your expertise in testing methodologies, testing tools, testing strategies, attention to detail, and strong communication skills will be essential in ensuring the successful deployment of Workday initial implementation and subsequent updates and enhancements.Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and methodologies for Workday HCM modules such as core HCM, Performance Management Recruitment, LMS, Payroll, Workday Financial Systems, ensuring coverage of all functional areas.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, Business stakeholders, SI partner and incumbent vendor to understand system requirements and changes, translating them into test cases.
Lead and supervise a team of test analysts, providing guidance, support, and direction throughout the testing lifecycle.
Coordinate and execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Design and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test cases, ensuring that all aspects of system functionality are thoroughly tested and validated.
Document test results, defects, and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders, highlighting any critical issues and recommending solutions.
Monitor and manage the defect tracking and resolution process, ensuring that issues are prioritized, resolved, and validated within established timelines.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other relevant parties to resolve testing-related issues and ensure smooth deployment of Workday updates.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in HCM and testing methodologies, integrating new insights into testing processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality assurance processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Test Manager or similar role, with a focus on HCM systems and Financial Systems, preferably Workday.
Strong understanding of HCM processes and workflows, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in designing test strategies, plans, and test cases, as well as experience with various testing tools .
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate team members.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to think critically in order to identify potential system issues and improvements.
Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments is a plus.
Relevant testing certifications, such as ISTQB or equivalent, are desirable.
