The HR/Payroll Assistant will play a key role in ensuring our seasonal staff for the winter have a smooth onboarding process and are paid accurately. This position requires weekend availability and a flexible schedule as the season gets very busy. Lots of potential for Overtime hours.
Essential Duties:
Adjusts timecard entries / tracks attendance
Calculates retro pay when applicable
Data entry in regards to to employee info, direct deposit and W4’s.
Learns all aspects of our seasonal payroll
Responds to employee inquiries in timely manner regarding payroll questions and trouble-shoots in an attempt to resolve any payroll discrepancies
Onboards new hires and rehires
Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
Maintains filing system (electronic & manual) for our seasonal hires
Resolves administrative problems
Performs other duties as assigned by HR Manager
Preferred candidate will have:
1-2 years experience in similar type role (preferred)
Bilingual (Spanish + English)
High school diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Knowledge with Microsoft/Outlook (payroll software a plus!)
Detail oriented/excellent organizational skills
Works well in fast pace environment
Ability to multi-task and take accountability
