Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The following aspects of the production floor network systems and infrastructure for 3-4 US-based plants:
  • Engage with the Operations, Engineering and technical support teams to drive the implementation of IT systems to a consistent global supported standard
  • Develop local capabilities across plants for efficient deployment of new technology
  • Act as escalation point for IT infrastructure, data systems or security services in the cluster.
  • Owns the business continuity plan including disaster recovery, regarding IT systems
  • Lead complex manufacturing related technological implementation
  • Together with plants and regions, create and expand IBS Manufacturing capability roadmaps
  • Drive adherence/governance of systems, solutions, security and architecture standards to ensure system integrity and design is upheld.
  • Writing functional specifications to ensure that solutions are robust, strategically aligned and efficient to deliver and maintain
  • Work with external partners to implement new functionality according to business requirements
Requirements:
  • Proven knowledge of IT Solution Architecture, Manufacturing Work Processes and Manufacturing Environments.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience across Information Security, Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Applications and Firewalls
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight project timelines and think creatively to meet project objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to inform and gain buy-in for best outcomes
  • Proven analytical problem solver with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Valid Driver's license, a vehicle and the ability to travel with in Canada, the USA and Mexico

Education / Certifications: Bachelors degree in engineering or related field.

Job specific requirements:
  • Proven knowledge of IT Solution Architecture, Manufacturing Work Processes and Manufacturing Environments.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience across Information Security, Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Applications and Firewalls
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products and management

Travel requirements:
  • Valid Driver's license, a vehicle
  • The ability to travel with in Canada, the USA and Mexico (may be required for special projects)

Work schedule:Usually from Monday to Friday. Start time according to plant's needs. Working hour flexibility is required as some activities must be done during production downtime.
