Lab Tech II-Cordova, IllRotating Shift Schedule: 6a-6p; and swing to 6p-6a. it's a 2-3 day rotation, break in between$24.43 hr - estimated 24+ months.Volt Technical Resources has an exciting opportunity for a lab tech with a well-known manufacturer in their Cordova, IL, plant. As a Lab Technician you will be responsible for performing tests to support quality assurance for materials produced in a chemical manufacturing plant. In this position you will perform standard tests, inspections, and other tasks to determine chemical and physical properties of these materials Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze samples using standard analytical test methods
- Perform mathematical calculations of test data to compare results to standards and identify variances
- Prepare, operate, and maintain test equipment through calibration and standardization procedures
- Document and interpret test results, maintain records, and communicate test results to appropriate staff and operations
Qualifications- High School diploma with 1+ years of experience working in a lab environment OR an AA or BS degree in science.
- Understanding of basic concepts of measurement systems, testing, and calibration.
- Knowledgeable in routine test procedures, problem solving, products, a
- Detail oriented with strong oral and written communication skills
- Looking for someone who will be able to work independently.
