Position Summary

CDK is seeking a Financial Systems Manager to join the Corporate IT Financial Systems team, which maintains and controls the flow of data and metadata across the financial systems and other tools used by accounting, finance, and other functions. This position will be the primary owner and champion of the metadata within Oracle EDMCS module that governs all Oracle financial applications and has downstream impacts on several general ledger feeder systems, databases, and analytical tools. The position will also require maintaining the Cloud Consolidations (FCCS) and Planning (EPBCS) forms and developing OTBI & FRS reports.

The ideal candidate will be a strong self-starter that works well with minimal direction and ambiguity, learns new concepts quickly, is comfortable leading large cross-functional teams and can build strong partnerships within accounting, finance IT and other partner groups across the company.

Position Responsibilities
  • Be the primary owner and steward of the flow of data and metadata across the company
  • Be a thought leader, champion, and internal consultant for driving efficiency and maintaining consistency across all our financial and metric reporting tools
  • Be the subject matter expert on all touchpoints and levers across all the various financial systems, tools and databases that are affected by changes in metadata
  • Lead the organization on the best course of action across the entire enterprise when it comes to data and metadata management
  • Partner with subject matter experts within finance, accounting, IT, analytics, and other areas to manage the many touchpoints and drive consistency across the larger enterprise
  • Drive and maintain the calendar of activities associated with these responsibilities
  • Own the technical aspects of the new revenue, expense, and allocation modules within Oracle GL and EPBCS, working with the business owners to keep our tools functioning and up to date
  • Defines problems, evaluates, and prioritizes requirements, and implements advanced systems to meet internal business and user requirements.
  • Provides technical expertise and recommendations to address specific business needs for information technological solutions.
  • Acts as liaison between the business users and IT.
  • Performs advanced system validations in alignment with business requirements.
  • Represents the organization on projects and may perform in project leadership role.
  • Plans and configures multi-faceted system settings and options with innovative solutions.
  • Executes unit integration and acceptance testing; creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT Data Management and/or Finance or Accounting
  • 8-10 years of experience managing data and metadata in financial reporting systems in a large public company, including maintenance of complex dimension hierarchies
  • 8-10 years of experience in a financial analysis setting, either in accounting or FP&A in a large public organization
  • 8-10 years of experience in leading and presenting to large groups in cross-functional activities, many of whom will be more senior within the organization
  • Oracle Cloud GL and other applications experience is required
  • Financial reporting experience with Essbase/Smart View is required
