Description We are recruiting a Legal Assistant to join our team, based in ROSEMONT, Illinois. As a Legal Assistant, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities including electronic filing, document scanning, and supporting attorneys with their schedules. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and is situated within the legal industry.Responsibilities: Electronic filing in Odyssey and PACER systems Scanning and organizing files Assisting attorneys with schedule management and calendaring Handling phone calls when necessary Carrying out administrative tasks during quieter periods Offering support during busier times by taking initiative and stepping in when needed Utilizing various skills such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, CompuLaw, Billing Functions, Calendar Management, Claim Administration, Client Relations, Communication, e-Filing, e-File, and PACER. Requirements Proficient in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) Skilled in the use of Case Management Software and CompuLaw Capable of handling Billing Functions with attention to detail Experienced in Calendar Management and Claim Administration Strong Client Relations skills and excellent Communication abilities Familiar with e-Filing and e-File processes Knowledgeable in using PACER for legal research and case tracking Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Commitment to continual learning and improvement High degree of professionalism and ethical standards Willingness to take on additional tasks as required Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and new challenges Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures Ability to maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude at all times.
