Job Description
This job is typically called an Activity or Activities Director (or Life Enrichment Director). In our building, we call this an Events Coordinator.
This person will utilize a wide range of activity interventions and techniques to improve the physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and leisure needs of our guests in ourmemory care unit.
You will assist guests to develop skills, knowledge, and behaviors for daily living and community involvement. You will work with our guest and their family to incorporate specific interests into the event (activities or life enrichment) program to achieve optimal outcomes that transfer to their real life situations.
You will be planning,implementing and evaluating the event (activities) programming of this unit and supervising a team to ensure the needs of our guests are met.

Qualifications
What we need from you:- Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) as an Activity/ActivitiesDirector (or Life Enrichment Director).
- Completed the 36 hour Activities Director certification course for IL
- Extensive involvement with leading a dynamic team, creating an engaging events calendar and managing the individual needs of long term care patientsthat address their physical, cognitive and social deficits.

This center is managed by TRANSITIONAL CARE MANAGEMENT. We currently providecomprehensive management services to 12 inpatient healthcare centers throughout the Chicagoland area. These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs), Short-term Care Rehabilitation (100% post acute rehab centers), Intermediate Care (ICFs), and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
