MD's Sports Bar & Grill in Peoria, IL is looking for one line cook to join our 9 person strong team. We are located on 7719 N University, just south of Pioneer Parkway and across from McDonalds. We work hard but we have fun doing it!Estimated 30-35 hours weekly, off Tuesday and Wednesdays. Our ideal candidate loves to cook, can handle a fast-paced short order line, is able to multi-task, works well with a team, and is dependable for all scheduled shifts.Responsibilities Set up and stock kitchen prep for station, prepare sauces and other food preparation. Turn all equipment on, maintain cleanliness at all times Cook menu items accurately according to ticket specifics and recipes Clean up station and take care of leftover food + stock inventory End of shift clean up for prep area, line and dish area Sweep, mop and take trash to dumpster at shift's end Weekly Oil maintenance and miscellaneous projects on Mondays. Qualifications MINIMUM 1 year Cooking experience in a similar venue or Back of the House experience preferred Able to meet all scheduling commitments Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and work as a team to meet those needs Strong attention to detail, is organized and can follow Health Department standards and MD's recipes Can pass Serve-safe certification (or already has) within 30 days of employment Wage is negotiable based on experience.We look forward to receiving your application.
