Our client, a leader in their manufacturing sector, is looking to add skilled mechanical assemblers to their operations. There are openings on 1st shift and 2nd shift, and there will be a lot of overtime.Description:Mechanical Assembler duties involve assembly of test filtration machinery to meet production standards quality standards. Mechanical Assembler will need to be able to select assembly method and erection procedure per blueprints to Fit parts to tolerances and operating requirements, involving use of hand and power tools. Mechanical Assembler will also align subassemblies equipment, cut and fit pipe and tubing, make operating tests and final adjustments.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Fit, align and assemble manufactured or purchased parts, motors, pumps, and sub assemblies into completed units and make necessary electrical and piping connections.Position parts according to the layout of unit being assembled or according to engineering drawings.Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips or by other fasteners.Drill and tap holes for fasteners.Visually inspect parts and assemblies for fit and surface defects, and advise supervisor of discrepancies.Remove small quantities of metal with hand files to produce close fit between parts.Test components and unit for proper operation.Qualified and/or interested candidates may apply directly to this posting or contact Jon Jensen at 815-394-5523 / jjensen@aerotek.com for additional information.About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
